Founder. Music Reviewer. Vinyl Collector. Ardent Enthusiast.
Shaelan Walker is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, though she’s traveled around a fair bit. She’s been surrounded by music her entire life. She cut her teeth on the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, but she’s explored far beyond what her formative years have taught her. No genre or language has been (or will be) a barrier for her listening habits. Her sonic journey has led her to work on multiple listening projects, including numerous music maps and discography deep dives.
By trade, Walker is a copywriter and editor, specializing in marketing and ad copy. She’s written for many clients across many different industries, but much prefers to utilize her expertise to write about her first love: music. You can find her online on Facebook, Instagram, Pow Magazine and RYM, and you might be able to spot her IRL at live shows and record stores.

Music Reviewer. Cultural Anthropologist. Voracious Explorer.
As a St. Louis native, Leah Kirk has always been interested in the region’s contribution to the arts. Her fascination grew from Chuck Berry and Miles Davis to everything related to music that she could get her hands on as she became a teenager. Her mother’s work as an Anthropologist helped, not only to blossom her inquisitive mind, but also to fuel her future interests in history, geography and sociology. With these fields of study as a ubiquitous influence in her life, Leah does her best to analyze art from around the world by examining the environmental factors that helped to create that art in the first place. As well as writing for ARDENTLY, Leah is also currently a student at St. Louis Community College, working on a degree in Communications to pursue her dreams of becoming a documentarian where she will put her long-developing interests to great use.
